From Behind The Veil
“…That WE might receive HIS love . . . If we are but humble and trusting and brave enough to just turn around . . . and a take a look.
The veil has long been lifted – the radiance of His glory will fill our lives if we let it.
What on earth, I wonder, are so many of us waiting for.”
Beautifully expressed! Amen!!!
Our Old Testament text tells us that the Hebrews are at first afraid of Moses as he glows with the truth of God’s Glory such that he must use a veil to cover his face . . . But note what the scripture says happens going forward: Moses only uses the veil in-between the times when he is talking to God and the people. He does not wear it when he speaks directly with God and not when he is speaking directly with the people about what God wants them to do.
It’s as though his radiant face becomes a sort of substantiation of his authority – and that which the people first fear becomes that which convinces them that whatever Moses is doing up on that mountain or in that Tent of Tabernacle must be for real.
