End Time Bible Prophecy

Fri Mar 22, 2013

March 22, 2013 (C-FAM.org) – Just one day after USAID released a progress report on development reform, a US and UK funded AIDS prevention ad was pulled for being offensive and immoral for its promotion of extramarital affairs.

While Christian and Muslim religious leaders called on the Communications Commission of Kenya to remove the ad from airwaves, it was a public outcry, in particular from parents that resulted when children viewed it during prime time airings.

The ad “Weka Condom Mpangoni,” which translates to “use a condom when having an affair,” depicts two women in a marketplace discussing the extramarital affair and the friend reminds her to use a condom while having sex with her boyfriend.

Bishop Julius Kalu of the Anglican Church of Kenya told Kenya’s Daily Nation the ad promoted extra-marital affairs and sex among school pupils.

SACRAMENTO, March 22, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The California Department of Education has revised the statewide recommended reading list for its 6.3 million K-12 students, adding roughly 40 titles focused on homosexuality or gender confusion.

The list, which was last revised in 2008, contains more than 7,800 books categorized by grades K-2, 3-5, middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12). This is the first time the state has included books that won the Stonewall Book Awards, a gay-centered award for literature celebrating the homosexual lifestyle.

“We have titles in the list for the LGBT community for multiple recommended grade levels,” Roxane Fidler, the CDE’s education programs consultant, told the San Jose Mercury News. “There are books from the Stonewall Book Awards, which has not previously been on the list.”

They Claim To Speak For God Part 1

'I Am NOT Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!'

My Comment:  Put your discernment cap on and read this, its a great article, and we need to know how to tell the difference between these things that divide.

Bible Prophecy Blog By T. A. McMahon
The Berean Call

Again, sound doctrine is simply the teachings of the Word of God, which every believer is to read, heed, and obey. Yet, according to these teachers, since biblical doctrine stands in the way of the “new things God is doing,” it must be downgraded.

A very large part of Christendom in the United States is enamored with those who claim to speak for God. If you think that’s an overstatement, simply tune into some of the programing on Trinity Broadcasting Network or some of the other cable religious networks. What you will see are churches filled with thousands of Christians hanging on to every word of a man or a…

Is Deception Calling? A review of Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

Steak and a Bible

Just the other day I posted that Christians should be wary of God “experiences.” Although there are many prominent promoters of practices that claim to be ways to hear directly from God (other than by reading the Bible), it is my fear that these are really paths toward self-deception or worse.

As a follow up I’d like to share my thoughts about a book whose author purports to have received messages from God (which she turned into a bestselling book).

A couple months ago I was given a devotional book called Jesus Calling, and although I never read devotionals I began to examine the book. What I found shocked me. The author, Sarah Young, claims to have received revelations from Jesus through dialogue journaling (something she learned from two “listeners” who wrote another book called God Calling. I’ll get to that in a minute). Her book is even…

The Christ in Prophecy Journal: End Times Truth: Avoiding Deception

'I Am NOT Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!'

How do we avoid deception in these last days?

This question was put to me recently by Doug Harris from Britain’s apologetics television program “Simply the Truth.” In this first episode of Doug’s new show “End Times Truth,” he sought along with me and other guests to define what the Last Days are and how we should live in them. The following is an excerpt of that program.

Doug Harris: First Timothy 4:1 warns the believer to pay attention so as not to be deceived by deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. It becomes very obvious if people pay attention to these things that sooner or later they will want to communicate with these evil spirts and will want to draw closer to that which is deceitful — the doctrine of demons.

Just how can we test out what is truly from God…
