Egypt Invites Jews Back as Slaves for Old Times’ Sake

pharaohs seem to prevail in political commentary lately…Morsi is portrayed here as a Pharaoh, Obama has been portrayed as Pharaoh in many other articles and news clips…. These are not random comparisons. They are images/roles that God has created as Biblical History unfolds before us!

Mightier Than The Pen

Cairo, Egypt (AP) – Embattled Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi took time today to extend an olive branch of sorts to Jews throughout the world, inviting them to return to his country to assume once again the social status they had there several millennia ago.

“We look forward to welcoming back the descendants of the ancient Hebrews to occupy the niche they filled so well all those years ago,” read a statement by Morsi. “We would also like to conduct a thorough reckoning of the possessions that the departing Israelites ostensibly ‘borrowed’ from their Egyptian neighbors and have yet to return.”

Jewish lore records Egypt as the venue of a formative stage in the development of the Israelite nation, namely their centuries of subjugation and oppression at the hands of the Egyptians in the second millennium before the Common Era. The period of Israelite residence in Egypt began innocently enough, with…

The Promotion Of Human Sacrifice And Cannibalism In Egypt

'I Am NOT Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!'

Source: AINA(Assyrian International News Agency)

The promotion of ritual human sacrifice and cannibalism has been a topic of discussion on two Egyptian TV programs recently.

On Al-Tahrir, Egyptian TV advisor Ahmad Abdo Maher discusses the high-school curriculum issued by the highest religious authority in Egypt, Al-Azhar University, which encouraged students to cannibalize apostates and Muslims who abandon praying. The schoolbook stipulated that the act can be carried out so long as the human flesh is eaten uncooked in respect to the dead body and that the act “does not necessitate a governor’s consent or is punishable by law.” [1]

Here is the video:

The other popular television program, Al-Nas with Safwat Hegazy, a famous Egyptian cleric who launched Mohammed Mursi’s campaign in 2012, sanctioned Aztec-style, ritualistic human sacrifice of a Shia cleric named Yasar Habib. Hegazy justified his threat against Habib, who resides in Great Britain, by…

Make Money Fast

What is going on here? Obviously the article seeks to point out the flawed and negative tactics…but throwing coins in the air? Seriously. Also, there is a disturbing tone in the whole article comparing the work of the missionaries in Tibet to those seeking to market and create a business – talking about “targeting” individuals ripe for conversion….I am sure that there are many serious missionaries risking their lives in Tibet and China, that don’t ‘throw coins’ at poor villagers claiming that following Jesus makes you rich. It is one thing to offer material support in a charitable fashion and another thing to throw coins to the poor, like bones to a dog, claiming that they come from the Lord. That is spreading a truly corrupted and inverted version of Yeshua’s message.

BLT

In a quiet Tibetan town three hours drive from Xining, one local describes seeing a missionary throw coins into the air. “This comes from Jesus,” he declared to the astonished crowd. The same Tibetan remembers with an incredulous laugh being told that Christianity brings cash. “All Buddhist countries are poor,” the missionary said. “If you believe in Jesus, you will be rich.”

After Sawan Masih was arrested and charged with blasphemy in Pakistan, an angry Muslim mob – estimated to be about 3000 strong – descended on the Christian area of Joseph Colony (near LaHore) and burned down hundreds of buildings, the majority of which were Christian homes. According to reports, police stood down and allowed the rioting to take place as Masih was detained.

In the wake of the riots, our people on the ground there have provided safe haven for at least 11 Christian families and made an attempt to do the same for Masih before he was arrested. However, the group that Masih entrusted his protection to actually turned him over to police.

The Heavenly Man: A Book Review

Morning Meditations

heavenly-manOne day we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ and be required to account for our lives. Now is the time to repent, before it is too late! “In the past, God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31). Dear friend, if you sense the conviction of the Holy Spirit tugging at your conscience, then fall on your knees and cry out to God from a repentant heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to take full control of your life and to help you daily walk in humility and dependence on Him.

Mob in Pakistan torches Christian homes

'I Am NOT Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!'

pakistan mob christian homes

LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — Hundreds of people in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore attacked a Christian neighborhood Saturday and set fire to homes after hearing accusations that a Christian man had committed blasphemy against Islam’s prophet, said a police officer.

Blasphemy is a serious crime in Pakistan that can carry the death penalty but sometimes outraged residents exact their own retribution for perceived insults of Islam’s Prophet Mohammed. Pakistan is overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim and people of other faiths, including the nation’s small Christian community, are often viewed with suspicion.

The incident started Friday when a young Muslim man accused a Christian man of committing blasphemy by making offensive comments about the prophet, according to Multan Khan, a senior police officer in Lahore.

A large crowd from a nearby mosque went to the Christian man’s home on Friday night, and Khan said police took him into custody to try to…
