Dinosaurs and the Bible

…Could it be that Lucifer had reign over this earth before he rebelled against God and became Satan? Could it be that the inhabitants of this planet (dinosaurs and cavemen and whatever else may have been here) were led into rebellion against God by the fallen angel Lucifer, who became Satan? Could it be that the earth was destroyed prior to Noah’s Flood? Science says it was. Since the earth was covered with water in Verse 2 of Genesis, could it be that the earth was destroyed by flood twice?

What was the command God gave Noah’s family? Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply and REPLENISH the earth. KJV What does the term “replenish” mean? It means to “refill”. What had happened that Noah was told to “refill” the earth. The flood of course.

Where else in the bible can we find the commandment to be fruitful, multiply, and replensih the earth? In Genesis 1:28 we read And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, multiply, and REPLENISH the earth and subdue it. Who was God talking to? Adam and Eve. Why were Adam and Eve commanded to “replenish” or “refill” the earth unless the earth had once been full and something had happened to wipe out the life that was on the earth. …

The Golden Key! The Golden Thread! by Octavius Winslow /The Word in Focus

Jesus is the one great theme both of the Old Testament and the New. The whole Bible is designed to testify of Christ, ”The Scriptures point to Me!” John 5:39

In Christ the Messiah, in Jesus the Savior, in the Son of God the Redeemer — all the truths of the Bible center.

To Him all the types and shadows point!

Of Him all the prophecies give witness!

All the glory of the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation — culminates at the cross of Christ!

The Bible would be an inexplicable mystery apart from Christ, who unfolds and explains it all.

He is the golden Key which unlocks the divine treasury of Scriptural revelation!

Until He is seen, the Bible is, in a sense — a great mystery. But when He is found, it is a glorious revelation. Every mystery is opened, every enigma explained, every discrepancy harmonized, and every truth and page, sentence and word, quickened with a life and glowing with a light flowing down from the throne of the Eternal God.

Christ is the substance of the Gospel.

All its divine doctrines,

all its holy precepts,

all its gracious instructions,

all its precious promises,

all its glorious hopes —

meet, center, and fill up their entire compass in Jesus!

He is the Alpha and the Omega of the Bible, from the first verse in Genesis — to the last verse in Revelation.

Oh, study the Scriptures of truth with a view of learning Christ.

Do not study the Bible as a mere history.

Do not read it as a mere poem.

Do not search it as a book of science.

It is all that, but infinitely more.

The Bible is the Book of Jesus!

It is a Revelation of Christ!

Christ is the golden thread which runs through the whole!

Blessed Lord Jesus! I will read and study and dig into the Scriptures to find and learn more of You!

You, Immanuel, are the fragrance of this divine box of precious ointment.

You are the beauteous gem sparkling in this divine cabinet.

You are the Tree of life planted in the center of this divine garden.

You are the Ocean whose stream quickens and nourishes all who draw water out of this divine well of salvation.

The Bible is all about You!

Very Important: Should Israel Freeze Construction?

'I Am NOT Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!'

“I’ve been watching Irvin Baxter for a few years, and I’ve never heard him speak this way, with this urgency to his voice.”

I have watched the video he speaks of WW3.   Irvin also has a digital download service with his DVD’s that most do not.  And it’s reasonable, I think it’s 9.99.  I’ve done this a few times with him, and It’s a great way to obtain his videos.  Here’s the link to his site.  Endtime Ministries.com.  Below is the video he speaks of, from a previous post.

‘This video is full of amazing facts and insights, whether you agree with everything or not.  This war is prophesied and it is coming very soon.  You might want to get ready.”

'I Am NOT Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!'

My Comment:  Exodus 20:3 “Though Shall Have No Other god’s before me!”

A Scottish church has become the first in the UK to share its premises with Muslim worshippers.

St John’s Episcopal Church in Aberdeen now welcomes hundreds of Muslims praying five times a day in their building as the nearby mosque was so small that they were forced to worship outside.

The minister of St John’s, Rev Isaac Poobalan, has handed over part of the church hall to Chief Imam Ahmed Megharbi and the imam has led prayers in the main chapel.

Rev Poobalan said today that he would not be true to his faith if he did not offer to help.

Christ Conquered Death. How The Apocryphal Texts Shed Light On This.

Christ triumphing over Death and Sin mg 0050

Christ triumphing over Death and Sin mg 0050 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Christ conquered death.   I never fully understood  the use of the word ‘conquered’ here, because I never really understood who or what He fought to ‘conquer’ death. I understood the Biblical passages regarding Christ’s life and resurrection.  I understood how Christ brought back dead to life.  I understood how we will have eternal life with Christ. And in my heart I understand all that this entails.

Death, as we knew it, ceases to exist for believers once we are saved. Christ redeems  His believers, the subjects of His Kingdom, from death. We are given the chance to be redeemed and to live eternally through His Grace !

But I could never find any mention in the Bible to what happened with “death” from the time before Christ’s first arrival on earth up to His arrival when He overcame the power of death. Who controlled death then? What did it mean to die at that time, before Christ?

He battled death, He conquered and won.  But what does it mean when they say that Christ “conquered” death?

Did He grapple with a force? Something physical as well as spiritual must have happened, a battle must have ensued,  for this “conquering” to take place.  The Bible makes very physical references to the battle.

18  I was dead, but look! Now I’m alive forever and always. I have the keys of Death and the Grave.

(Revelation 1:18 CJB)

18 I tell you that you are Peter. And I’ll build my church on this rock. The gates of the underworld won’t be able to stand against it. (Matthew 16:18 CJB)

44 When sown, it is an ordinary human body; when raised, it will be a body controlled by the Spirit. If there is an ordinary human body, there is also a body controlled by the Spirit. 45 In fact, the Tanakh says so: Adam, the first man, became a living human being;o but the last “Adam” has become a life-giving Spirit. 46 Note, however, that the body from the Spirit did not come first, but the ordinary human one; the one from the Spirit comes afterwards. 47 The first man is from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 People born of dust are like the man of dust, and people born from heaven are like the man from heaven; 49 and just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, so also we will bear the image of the man from heaven. 50 Let me say this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot share in the Kingdom of God, nor can something that decays share in what does not decay. 51 Look, I will tell you a secret – not all of us will die! But we will all be changed! 52 It will take but a moment, the blink of an eye, at the final shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever, and we too will be changed. 53 For this material which can decay must be clothed with imperishability, this which is mortal must be clothed with immortality. 54When what decays puts on imperishability and what is mortal puts on immortality, then this passage in the Tanakh will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 “Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin; and sin draws its power from the Torah; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! 58 So, my dear brothers, stand firm and immovable, always doing the Lord’s work as vigorously as you can, knowing that united with the Lord your efforts are not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15: 44-58)

I found these very interesting passages in the apocryphal texts that “fill in the blanks” regarding how Jesus conquered death. They shed light on the fact that God never created death. It belonged to Satan. Apparently the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge then must have been some sort of covenant with Satan, since Adam and Eve became mortal, thus subject to Satan’s domain of death.  The Gospel of Bartholomew relates how Christ actually went to Hades and “won” the keys to Hades and Death.  It states how He entered the Kingdom of Hades and freed Adam and Eve and other ancient souls.  It also states how He crushed Hades.  Thus He has the keys!!!!

So the children of God who believe in Jesus would no longer be subject to Satan’s imposition of death.  The Gospel of Bartholomew also discusses how many souls leave the bodies every day and yet, how few actually enter heaven.

Wisdom 1 (CEBA)

12 Don’t seek death through the error of your ways. Don’t invite destruction on yourself by what you do. 13 God didn’t make death. God takes no delight in the ruin of anything that lives. 14 God created everything so that it might exist. The creative forces at work in the cosmos are life-giving. There is no destructive poison in them. The underworld doesn’t rule on earth. 15 Doing what is right means living forever.  16 In spite of this, the ungodly called out to death by what they did and said. Thinking that death was their friend, they lost their resolve and made a treaty with death. Let them have each other: death and the ungodly belong together!  (Wisdom 1: 12-16) Common English Bible w/apocrypha

End Times | Rapture & Jewish Wedding

…What does Scripture mean when it refers to the church as a bride and Jesus as a bridegroom? Is this just flowery language? Is it merely indicating God’s love for His people? Understanding ancient Jewish wedding practices makes the meaning of Scripture clear. The wedding is a picture of the covenant Jesus made and reveals His plans to return for His bride, the church. The people of ancient Israel understood what Jesus was going to do because they understood the model of the wedding. The analogy between a wedding and Christ and the Church is described in Ephesians 5:31-32, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery — but I am talking about Christ and the church.” The following overviews the practices of an ancient Jewish betrothal and wedding. In parallel, it shows how Jesus has fulfilled the betrothal portion of the wedding and how He may fulfill the remainder when He comes again for His bride, the church.

The Obligation of Riches

As Christians with food on our table, most of us have gone astray here….

BibleJedi

Take a look at this story, told by Jesus almost 2000 years ago. It’s found in Luke 16. The translation is the Holman Christian Standard.

There was a rich man who would dress in purple and fine linen, feasting lavishly every day. But a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, was left at his gate. He longed to be filled with what fell from the rich man’s table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores. One day the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torment in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off, with Lazarus at his side. ‘Father Abraham!’ he called out, ‘Have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because…
