As the Holy Spirit takes possession of a person’s life, his heart will be filled with divine, holy power. We must always pray for this power in our lives to be active in helping us to live holy lives. If we receive the Spirit with gladness, He will teach us how to really live. Andrew Murray writes:
Under the Old Testament, you know the Holy Spirit often came upon men as a divine Spirit of revelation to reveal the mysteries of God, or for power to do the work of God. But He did not dwell in them then. Now, many just want the Old Testament gift of power for work. But, they know very little of the New Testament gift of the indwelling Spirit, animating and renewing the whole life. When God gives the Holy Spirit, His great object is the formation of a holy character. It is…

Is Your Name Written In The Earth

IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN THE EARTH?
John 8:6(b) But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not.
Jeremiah 17:13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.
A woman was brought to Jesus one day
As the Pharisees wanted to know what He’d say
She had been caught in the act of adultery
For which stoning in the Law was compulsory
They asked the Lord Jesus if this was so
As they were trying to test Him you know
Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground
Without uttering even one sound
But they kept on questioning, so He arose
And He then made a statement to His foes
He said the first stone should be thrown by him
Who could truthfully say that he was without sin
Jesus stooped again and wrote on the ground
And before very long He and the woman found
That they were left standing quite alone
Cause the Pharisees had slunk off home
He asked the woman where her accusers were
And whether any man was left to condemn her
“No man Lord”, is what the woman said
“Neither do I condemn you”, He said
Her entire being was flooded with grace
As she met with her Saviour face to Face
“Go and sin no more” were the words He spoke
And she was filled with faith, love and hope
Why did the Lord Jesus write in the ground that day
Please tell me oh Lord, is what we must pray
We must ask why our Lord Jesus did what He did
And why this marvellous Truth has been hid
God hides these things from the prudent and wise
Whose hearts are on earth and not in the skies
He has revealed them to babes who rest in Him
And who know they’ve been forgiven of their sin
The Scriptures were fulfilled that momentous day
In the most astounding and astonishing way
It is not just the New Testament that is reliable
Our Lord Jesus is on every page of the Bible
The Old Testament is not a boring old history book
If you think that, then I’d urge you to take a look
And see that the New is in the Old concealed
And the Old is in the New revealed
The New is in the Old contained
And the Old is in the New explained
Those Scribes and Pharisees knew the Law
And they must have been shaken to the core
When the Lord Jesus fulfilled in Jeremiah Seventeen
What was written and preserved in Verse Thirteen
We do not know if they actually saw their own name
Of if they understood Jeremiah’s very serious claim
That those who depart from the hope of Israel
Will indeed tell an horrendous and horrifying tale
If they forsake the Lord of glory and they depart
They will end up in hell with a stony heart
They have forsaken the Fountain of Living Water
Whether they be father, mother, son or daughter
They think they’re not sinners but cast the blame
And the last thing they’d do is call on God’s Name
They have a form of religion but it is just a bluff
Their good deeds and self-righteousness are not enough
Their names are not in the Lambs Book of Life
Oh no…
But in this devilish earth that is down below
………………
So ponder these questions now that you’ve heard
The stupendous Truth contained in God’s Word
WHERE HAS THE FINGER OF GOD WRITTEN YOUR NAME?
AND WHAT WAS THE REASON OUR LORD JESUS CAME?

absolutely mind boggling how the events are playing out.
If you are not ready for it, Mark 13 shocks you awake with Jesus suddenly prophesying all over the place. It’s like Mark in his writing has grouped similar stories together so that you just get a snapshot of who Jesus was and what Jesus said and did. In this case, we get a chapter of prophecy… let’s dig in…
TEMPLE DESTRUCTION
Jesus leaves the temple with his disciples after watching the widow toss her coins in. And his disciples remark on how beautiful the temple is – how wonderful the buildings in the temple were! And Jesus foretells the temple’s destruction – which if I’m not mistaken happens in 70 AD with the destruction of Jerusalem.

This film may offend some people, it may disturb many and yet, despite the drastic revelations that the film makes, it may make sense to countless others.
Persecution and deception are never “easy” topics. They are rampant today, and this video sheds a new light on them.
I am posting it so that viewers can come to their own conclusions.
A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb
9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick. 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.
22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Revelations 21 (NIV)
Christian Broadcast Network distributes a 52 episode anime series for children. It is a wonderful series of Christian Animation depicting the adventures of three children, a robot, a professor and a time machine that takes them back into many historical periods including the times of the New Testament, where they are able to see some of the Bible in action.
Personally, I haven’t seen all the episodes, but I thought that I would share this along for those looking for something good/decent for their children to watch!
A new podcast “Between Two Worlds” will begin this week with the first of Dr. George Parsenios lectures on First Corinthians. The lectures are part of his class lectures at Princeton Theological Seminary.
